I am interested in creating an indicator using the price data from two symbols. Specifically, I would like to compair the rate of change (ROC) of a stock symbol to that of the SP-500. Can this be done? If so, how does on access the price data from another symbol?
Calcualte the ROC of the Stock: ROC1
Calculate the ROC of SP-500: ROC2
New indicator = ROC1/ROC2

About the closest thing you can do is a add a Relative Strength (RS) indicator to the chart, set the Symbol of the RS indicator to SP-500 and add a Rate of Change Percent indicator to the RS indicator.
You will need to have TC2000 version 12.4 to add the ROC% indicator to the RS indicator. If you are still running TC2000 version 12.3, you can run and install TC2000 version 12.4 at the following website.
http://www.tc2000.com/
To add the ROC% indicator to RS, add both the Relative Strength indicator and the Rate of Change Percent indicator to the chart as normal. Then click on the Rate of Change Percent indicator and select Change Data Source to set it to use the Relative Strength indicator instead of Price History.
