Hi there hoping someone could help me out

I searched the forum for candlestick pcfs and found the following pcfs with the link below

http://forums.worden.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=7989

But when i go into telechart and select new pcf and paste them in there - nothing happens. They all come back false

Am i doing something wrong and if so, could you point me to the right direction

Thanks

The false message when testing the Condition Formulas in TC2000 just means the formula is not true for the test symbol. It does not indicate an error in the Condition Formula.

Just creating a Condition Formula does not do anything. You would need to use the Condition Formula as a WatchList Column and sort or as an EasyScan Condition after it was created in order to see what symbols might be returning true for the Condition Formula.

Thanks for the prompt reply

Basically i have tried to paste in these formulas and they dont show up for me - in the past with tc2000 you would just copy/paste them in, update the software and then it would work but is this not the case.

what i did was clicked the library, new conditions, add new condition and pasted it in there but they dont seem to work. I have watched those videos but the thing is i dont want to have to play with figures - i assumed those pcfs/conditinos were ready to be inputted into the software program as they were?

Thanks

You have always needed to use the Condition Formula as an EasyScan Condition or WatchList Column in order to find out what symbols in a WatchList are true or false for that particular Condition Formula.

It has never been possible to just create the Condition Formula and know what symbols in a WatchList return true or false for that Condition Formula without using the Condition Formula in some fashion after it was created.

When you create a Condition Formula by selecting Library and choosing Conditions, the Condition Formula is just saved to the Library when you select OK. You then need to select Add Column or Add Condition later to use the Condition Formula as a WatchList Column or EasyScan Condition.

You might be better off selecting New and choosing Condition (PCF) Formula instead because you will be given the option to immediately scan or sort an existing or new WatchList or EasyScan when you select OK.
