I am trying to backtest SPX but I can only get SPXPM.  SPX began in 1987 and SPXPM has only been trading for less than a year.  How can I get the data for SPX.  I may be entering the ticker wrong.  I have entered "SPX" and "$SPX", but with no positive results.  Can someone please inform me as to what I am doing wrong and/or what I should do?  Thank you.

The symbol you need to use is SP-500.
