The How to create a Personal Criteria Forumula (PCF) topic explores the creation of Personal Criteria Formulas, the PCF Formula Descriptions topic contains a fairly comprehensive list of the syntax that is valid in TeleChart's Personal Criteria Formula Langugae and the Handy PCF example formulas to help you learn the syntax of PCFs! topic has examples of basic Personal Criteria Formulas.

i am interested in setting up PCF to look for stocks within 4 percent of their 20 EMA and also 50 EMA on a daily chart...

Price within 4% of their EMA20:

ABS(C / XAVGC20 - 1) <= .04

Price within 4% of their EMA50:

ABS(C / XAVGC50 - 1) <= .04

Price within 4% of both their EMA20 and EMA50:

ABS(C / XAVGC20 - 1) <= .04 AND ABS(C / XAVGC50 - 1) <= .04

EasyScans (Using EasyScan to find stocks that meet your own criteria) and Personal Criteria Formulas always use the 20-minute delayed Daily data. It would be possible to use these same formulas as Custom Percent True Indicators and then use Realtime Indicator Sorting, but the results would be limited to the top 200 symbols in the WatchList.

Visually Backtesting Specific Symbols
Real time indicator sorting (available at the Platinum level)
