Hi,

I've been searching the forums for a scan that finds stocks with an ascending/descinding triangle pattern (i.e. http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_school:chart_analysis:chart_patterns:descending_triangle) - but haven't been able to find such a scan.

Would someone help me make such a scan, please?

Thanks,
Rasmus

The forums broke the link in my previous post. Here's a shorter version of the same link: http://tinyurl.com/2dl2mw

The Finding Continuation Triangles And Wedges With Telechart topic started as a TeleChart topic, but it also contains information about a StockFinder Layout that you might be able to adapt to do what you want.

Hi Bruce,

I went away from trading for a while so never digged too much into this post, but but now want to look at it again. The telechart topic you referenced to on 20 nov 2009 unfortunately doesn't work well at finding the patterns.

Do you have any other suggestions or more recent realcode for StockFinder 5 for finding ascending/descending triangle patterns?

Thanks,
Rasmus

I do not have any additional suggestions. The StockFinder sections of that topic would be my best recommendation.
