The trainers can't give setting, interpretation or investment advice. StockFinder does have a Zig Zag Indicator (which retroactively Plots changes in direction once they are identified by a user specified percent change from an extreme), but StockFinder does not currently have Hart Swing or Barros Swing Indicators. We may be able to help you create them in StockFInder however if you can unambiguously describe the exact algorithms used in their creation.

The Swing Chart in StockFinder is pretty simple. A point is plotted whenever the price moves x% in the opposite direction. You set x% at the top of the chart. In an uptrend, the last data point is the highest point in that trend. If prices moves down x% from that point, a new data point will be plotted.

When price moves in X% in the opposite direction a point is plotted at the price that is X% away?  Does "TimeSpan Bars" in the lower pane indicate how long it took for that next swing point to be plotted?  What defines the time interval of one bar?

Mark17,
The TimeSpan Bars displays how many Bars a single Point in the Swing Prices Plot represents (the size of the Bars being counted is based on the Date Time Frame setting for the Swing Prices Indicator).
