I've been searching, without success, the training videos and strategy videos for a personal criteria for selling short. Could you send me a criteria that would find stocks that are candidates for shorting?
Thank you, Don Pittman

You will need to define for us what you consider a short candidate. What do you look for in a stock for you to consider shorting? Give us that and we can help.

Craig –
I would consider a stock with the following characteristics a candidate for selling short:
1. It needs to be liquid, i.e., (50 day MA >= 100000) or (V50 >= 100000)? 2. Stock EPS <= 0 3. Growth rate <= 0 4. Price > 5 5. Pays no dividends 6. Analysts rating = Sell
I’ve tried to create an EasyScan, but come up with zilich. Ditto on building a personalized formula, too.
Please help,
Don

We can do everything by #6
Create an EasyScan with the following conditions.
1) Volume 90-day 2) EPS Percent Change (you can use Latest Quarter or 1-Year, your choice) 3) Price Growth Rate (you can use any of them from 1-year to 5-year) 4) Price Per Share 5) Dividend Yield
Once you put each of these in your EasyScan, limit them as follows:
1) 1000 to MAX (volume is in hundreds in TeleChart) 2) MIN to 0 3) MIN to 0 4) 5 to MAX 5) MIN to 0
Here is a short video on making an EasyScan. Check it out before you make this one. It should make all of this very clear.
