SnapSheets updated to the new version tonight but I have had to re-intall it a number of times. I have to dis-able Norton Security if I want SnapSheets to load. If I don't disable Norton, I get the following message: "Norton Security has detected Bloodhound 32.1 as a security risk" and SnapSheets will not open. I don't understand why I have to keep Norton disabled in order to run SnapSheets. Any ideas? Thanks. Ray

It's a false positive, not a virus. Bloodhound is Norton's name for a file it has identified through heuristics as being a potential (and previously unidentified) virus. As an internet search will tell you, Norton frequently returns such false positives for a wide variety of programs.

There are several topics in the forums related directly to this issue and its solution in the case of SnapSheets. You may wish to review the following:

new load
SnapSheets v1.2 (new version) incompatible with Norton Internet Security 2007
Norton Anti-Virus and SnapSheets
Bloodhound Virus

One of the options posted (by Kuf - Nov 28, 2006) to resolve the anti-virus issue is to scroll down to the "advanced options scan exclusions" in the Norton Internet Security software. I have Norton AntiVirus 2007, not the Internet Security version and I can not find any such exclusions tab to enter. Do you know of anyway to work around this issue with the Norton AntiVirus 2007 software?

Thank you, Ray

Open up the Norton Protection Center. Click on the Norton Antivirus tab. Then click Settings, Auto-Protect, Configure. This will open the Virus and SpyWare Protection Options dialog.

In the lower left you will see Scan Exclusions under Advanced Options.

Thanks. I scrolled down and found the Advanced Options. I was able set the file exclusions as instructed, but that did NOT resolve the problem. I just get a blank page and am unable to load backscanner.

Besides trashing the Norton software, is there anything else I can do to get this to work?

Thanks, Ray

Norton most likely quarantined or delete the file it was flagging as a virus. Try reinstalling SnapSheets now that you have the exclusions set up.

I am still unable to get SnapSheets to work with the antivirus on.

Within Norton AntiVirus, under both scan exceptions and AutoProtect, I excluded: Program Files\The Blocks Company, LLC.\SnapSheerts\CurrentVersion\System

Besides un-installing SnapSheets and re-starting the computer, are there any files I should manually delete from the Blocks program files before re-installing the SnapSheets software?

Thank you, Ray

Exclude the entire SnapSheets\CurrentVersion folder. IT might be removing files from other directories.

I went a step further and excluded the entire Blocks company program.

SnapSheets now works!!! I may go back and limit the exclusion to just the CurrentVersion of SnapSheets per your suggestion. Any reason why I shouldn't just leave the exclusion for the entire Blocks program?

Thank you, Ray
