Hi,
I'd like to know, with an example if possible, what is meant by a 'leading divergence'.

TIA.

I think Don Worden is your best resource for learning what he means by a "leading divergence".

You can email him directly via support@worden.com. Be sure to put ATTN: Don Worden in the subject line.

Hi Craig S.,
Thanks. I emailed but have not heard anything. I went and checked out the two links suggested above your post and I think I have handle on it now. Basically, when you say the "TSV is in leading divergence" it means that prior to a breakout, the TSV was divergent to price across at least two points. Is that ballpark?

By the way, excellent training videos! I am going through each of the basic ones (MA's, MACD, Stochastics, etc.) and learning alot.

Regards,
Mark.

Glad to hear it.

Again, I will have to defer to Mr. Worden. It is a term he used and only he knows what he meant when he uses it.

This is from the Worden Report 07/26/06:

______________

Put simply, when the indicator is trending up and the price is trending down, you have a positive divergence. And vice versa. That's a "basic divergence." There is a second type of divergence we refer to as a "leading divergence." A positive "leading divergence" occurs when the indicator is moving up faster than the price - specifically conquering previous highs, the equivalents of which the price has not yet reached. The negative version, once again, is vice-versa.

_____________

I don't know why this Forum is an inappropriate place to ask questions concerning statements made in the Worden Report. The answers seem mostly in effect to be, "Go to the source and get it yourself."

That answer seems itself to be inappropriate.

Thanks,
Jim Murphy
