Hello,

I have been working with Bruce and Craig creating the Bill Williams Profitunity indicators in Snapsheets. All the new indicators work fantastically... Bruce was also able to recreate the Gator in TC2007...

Thank you,

My next question: Can TC2007 be programmed to simulate the AO and AC Indicators the same way as in Snapsheets...?

Thanks again for all the help...
Keith

Yes and no. These indicators appear to be only a minor variation of a MACD of the mid-point between the High and Low instead of the Close:

Awesome Oscillator (AO):
Select Chart Template | Add Indicator | Indicator.
- Draw Color: Up to you.
- Draw Style: Up to you.
- Visible: Checked
- Center Zero Line: Checked
- Plot using price scale: Unchecked
- Smoothing Average: 1
- Average Type: Doesn't matter (because the Smoothing Average is 1).
- Indicator Formula: (AVGH5 + AVGL5 - AVGH34 - AVGL34) / 2

Acceleration/Deceleration (AC):
Select Chart Template | Add Indicator | Indicator.
- Draw Color: Up to you.
- Draw Style: Up to you.
- Visible: Checked
- Center Zero Line: Checked
- Plot using price scale: Unchecked
- Smoothing Average: 1
- Average Type: Doesn't matter (because the Smoothing Average is 1).
- Indicator Formula: (AVGH5 + AVGL5 - AVGH34 - AVGL34 - AVG(AVGH5,5) - AVG(AVGL5,5) + AVG(AVGH34,5) + AVG(AVGL34,5)) / 2

That said, they will be plotted as line charts instead of bar charts and be a single color instead of multiple colors. You may wish to review the following:

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for putting this together... What I was hoping for was a Histogram capability of RED and GREEN bars depending on the Zero line to display the AO and AC... The Alligator, you were able to duplicate, as far as the AO and AC I am not sure if you can duplicate the information the same as what you did in Snapsheets... I am just finding Snapsheets to be extremely slow and not always updating the page correctly... I have talked to your Technicians... There just is not a solution at this time... If not, I can live with what I have because I know Snapsheets will be improved soon...

Thanks,
Keith

I do not know of a way to re-create the AO and AC as a multi-colored bar chart in TeleChart.

Hi,

Since this topic discussed about AO and AC in Telechart. For completeness, may I ask

1) how to create Alligator green/red/blue line on Telechart.
(Green - Smooth Average 5 days shift right 3, Red 8 days shift right 5, Blue 13 days shift right 8)
For example, Green line - My custom indicator use smooth average 5 ( simple) with indicator C3 for shifting right 3. However, with this method, I can't see portion of line that shift to the right(beyond latest trading day). May be I did something wrong.

2) for above AO and AC custom indicator, what setting we need to plot it as histogram instead of line indicator.

Thank you very much.

Mupa,
Please try the following to recreate the Alligator indicator in TeleChart:

Select Chart Template | Add Indicator | Indicator | Top.
- Draw Color: Green
- Draw Style: Normal or Wide
- Center Zero Line: Unchecked
- Plot using price scale: Checked
- Smoothing Average: 9
- Average Type: Exponential
- Indicator Formula: (H3 + L3) / 2

Select Chart Template | Add Indicator | Indicator | Top.
- Draw Color: Red
- Draw Style: Normal or Wide
- Center Zero Line: Unchecked
- Plot using price scale: Checked
- Smoothing Average: 15
- Average Type: Exponential
- Indicator Formula: (H5 + L5) / 2

Select Chart Template | Add Indicator | Indicator | Top.
- Draw Color: Blue
- Draw Style: Normal or Wide
- Center Zero Line: Unchecked
- Plot using price scale: Checked
- Smoothing Average: 25
- Average Type: Exponential
- Indicator Formula: (H8 + L8) / 2

It is not currently possible to plot AO and AC as bar charts using Custom Indicators in TeleChart. It is possible to plot these indicators as bar charts using SnapSheets. You may wish to review the following:

Is the code for the Profitunity indicators in Blocks Player posted somewhere or otherwise available?
