I like to setup a PCF with the following criteria:
Stocks trending upward for at least 90days, then a correction(pull-back) for a period of 5 days or so. Then after the correction (pull-back), I'd like to see the first price bar that resumes the previous uptrend.
I'd like to see this price bar that resumes the uptrend accompanied with high extreme volume so it indicates possible buying pressure and hopefully not a false breakout.
If possible, I'd like to see this uptrend plotted with a 10, 20 and 50 day moving average, but I don't want the correction to fall below the 50 day moving average.
Ideally, I'd like for price to remain above the 10 day moving average as it makes its correction and resumes it upward momentum.
Thanks tpdavis

You can plot your charts with any indicators you like. Here are some videos to check out:
Understanding Moving Averages - Part I, The Basics
Understanding Moving Averages - Part II, Using Multiple Averages
Customize your charts using Chart Templates
Adding, removing and saving indicators to a chart template
To start, check out these two videos:
How to create a Personal Criteria Forumula (PCF)
Using EasyScan to find stocks that meet your own criteria
Now create the following PCFs:
Price Percent Change 90-day 100*(C-C90)/C90
Price Percent Change 5-day (no today) 100*(C1-C6)/C6
5-day low as % of 50sma 100*MINL5/AVGC50
5-day low as % of 10sma 100*MINL5/AVGC10
Once you create these PCFs and calculate them, create the following EasyScan with the listed conditions and limits:
WatchList (ALL STOCKS) Price Percent Change Today (condition type VALUE:0 to MAX) Price per Share (condition type VALUE: limit based on your trading price limits) Volume 90-day (condition type VALUE: limit based on your trading volume limits) Price Percent Change 90-day (condition type VALUE: 20 to MAX) - you can increase or decrease the min value of 20 to fit your needs) Price Percent Change 5-day (no today) (condition type VALUE: MIN to -1) 5-day low as % of 50sma (condition type VALUE: 100 to MAX) 5-day low as % of 10sma (condition type VALUE: 100 to MAX)
