Is it possible to get a chart of the McClellan Summation Index (NASI)?

I am happy to read you figured it out on your own.

The symbol for the McClellan Summation Index is T2118.

Hi Bruce,

I am looking for one (or two) Indicator PCFs for the following conditions:

1. The TSI (3, 5) of the Moving LinReg-19 of the McLennan Index is > 0;

2. The True Strength Index (3, 5) of the Moving LinReg-19 of the McLennan Index < 0.

The result should be a histogram with +-1 bars.

Also just a small, similar item:

I need the same histogram depending on whether the McClellan Index is above or below it's Moving LinReg-13 line.

Many thanks for your help. Kind regards,

Chris

The following formulas are not McLellan Summation Index specific. You could plot these on any symbol, not just on T2118.

For the first formula, please try the following.

SGN(XAVG(XAVG(3 * FAVGC19 - 2 * AVGC19 - 3 * FAVGC19.1 + 2 * AVGC19.1, 3), 5) / XAVG(XAVG(ABS(3 * FAVGC19 - 2 * AVGC19 - 3 * FAVGC19.1 + 2 * AVGC19.1), 3), 5))

For the second formula, please try the following.

SGN(C - 3 * FAVGC13 + 2 * AVGC13)

Thanks very much Bruce,

That's interesting - so I could use these on the McClellan Summation if I plot that underlying, or independent of the McClellan for any outher security or index.

Have a good day.

Exactly. The formulas are just based on price (which is a slight misnomer in the case of the McClellan Summation Index), so it works for any symbol.

Hi,

Is it possible to get the exact same one ( ratio adjusted version, https://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui ) like stockcharts has on TC2000.

Thanks,

Duane
