I hope this question is allowed on the forum.
hi,
I am new to trading and would like to know if any users can recommend an online broker. I want to trade US Stock and maybe move on to futures (in the future!)
I live in Spain most of the year but my official home and tax affairs are in the UK. The broker would have to allow foreign clients.
I am quite impressed with the tradestaion website. Does anyone else use this software/broker along with TC2007?
thanks in advance for all input.

I think Tradestation is very good, in fact, impressive. I, however, don't see the point in the additional expense for software as I am so comfortable with TC2007.
I use InteractiveBrokers. You can Google for them. But you can find them at their name with a dot-com at the end.
I also like Cybertrader as they do not let the market see your stop orders.

After 1 1/2 years of using MB Trading, and making trades most every day with them, I still swear by them. Barron's latest online survey of online brokers rates them number one overall for software based platforms. Still fastest of all on speed, reliability, executions. $1 per trade per 100 shares up to 500, then .50 extra for ea. 100 over 500, i.e. $1/100 shares, $5/500 shares, $7.50/1000 shares. NO charge for phone orders, live rep every time, no recordings, never wait longer than one minute.
I also use TDAmeritrade for my longer term holdings and also as a backup for streamer feed, and like them too....$9.99 all trades.

I have been using MBtrading for almost a year, and I am happy with them . Scottrade I did not always get the fills I wanted . I use Ameritrade to no real problems with them ether. Tradestations platform fee can be costly for a new trader that may not trade alot. IB is not for and they do not want beginners , one of their reps. said. Good trading AB

ScotTrade - I also have faced the problems 2-3 times - Not getting filled. In one case, I had a placed a Market BUY order and I was filled around 20c more than the current ASK/BID prices.
Now I place only limit orders 1c more than ASKING price just to get filled sometimes.

If you use SnapSheets, there is an OptionsXpress Snap-in in beta right now that lets you trade directly in your account within SnapSheets.
