Hello again, Bruce.Being that I am not a programmer and that the above formulas that you sent for the CCI indicator are not working out. Does that mean that this TC 2011 versioncannot perform this function or that my explanation is still not clear ?I would appreciate an answer if you don't mind as I am still on the 14 Day Trialand if this is the case. Many thanks to you for your efforts.Gerry

Hi Bruce,

Sorry about that I thought that this was a good explanation,  I guess I was wrong.
Been wrong many times before so let me try this again.

If the cci at the close on Mon was -102.61 then on Tues it was -2.19 then on Wed it was -59.86 and today ( let's pretend that today is Thurs ) the cci closed at 42.43.

The the figure of 42.43 is higher than negative  (  -2.19  ).

I would be using CCI 4 of the close.

Hope this helps.

Hi Bruce,I'm looking to create the following. If at the close today the CCI is HIGHER than the close of 3 days ago, then show me those stocks.Ex: Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs would be today, and the close of 3 days ago would be the close of Tues.I would use CCI 4.Thank you

Hi Bruce,

Now , if I want to see the opposite scan using the same input  of say  7,  but this time looking for stocks that at the CLOSE YESTERDAY the CLOSING PRICE of these stocks were BELOW the UPPER BOL BND and then at the close TODAY, these stocks CLOSING PRICES,  CLOSED ABOVE the UPPER BOL BND, what would that formula look like ?

Thanks again

Hi Bruce, Trying to get started all over again. Have been away quite some time. Wanting to locate stocks that closed above the UPPER BOL BND YESTERDAY and TODAY closed below that UPPER BOL BND. I have a formula but it doe not work on TC2011. [2] > Bol_Upper (12,1) [2] and c[2] > Ema(3) [2]c[1] > Bol_Upper(12,1)[1] and c[1] > Ema(3)[1]c

Hi again Bruce,Sorry about the confusion !The language that I included in my Feb 22, 2011, 1:32:48 post comes from the language that OMNITRADER uses. This looks for stocks that at the close, it scans for stocks whose stochastics closed over the reading that occured 3 days ago.Ex: on the %K if the reading 4 days ago was 25.68 then 3 days ago it was 31.44 then 2 days ago it was 27.98 then at the close TODAY the % K is at 32.33, then show me that stock. Some stocks that did this today are CHK CRI CRK and PEGHope that helps,Gerry
