Hi Bruce.
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I copied and pasted your formula and the test showed a Syntax error.
Bruce I'm not hung up on the Heiken-Ashi plot style, if the OHLC bar plot make the formula
any simpler I can use it. All I want to know, when price is closing for the first time below
or equal to the 10 SMA line.
Price must have been closing at least 3 consecutive days above the 10 SMA line prior too
its violation.
Thanks hheiden.

Hi Bruce.
Please show me how to write a PCF for the following conditons:
Using Heiken-Ashi plot style, need to know when "price closes" for the first time
below it's own SMA10, price must have been at least 3 days above it's own SMA10 prior.
Like to be able to scan @ sort in a new colum on any watchlist.
Thanks hheiden.

Hi Bruce.
Thank you for your prompt reply and the pointer for those videos, I might be able to work
something out with them.
Thanks again hheiden.

Hi Bruce.
Could you please write me a PCF for a True Strength Index 5 20 on a 3Day time frame
that I can use to search any of my watch lists for the following:
TRSI 5 20 has crossed below its 0 line any time in the last 42 Days and is now
in the last 3 Days crossing up over its EMA 5.
|
Bruce, this PCF works like a charm on my first watchlist out of 200 ETFs 3 good looking
names came up.
Thanks again hheiden.

Bruce, thanks for your quick responce. I will see if this give me the results I'm looking for.

Hi Bruce,
Please help me to write a PCF that I can use to scan as a colum on any of my watchlists.
I am using the TC 2000 -12.3 Beta program.
Here is what I am looking for: Using a 3Day timeframe, first I want MACD 12-26 crossing
below its -0- line sometime in the last 90 days and then move up sharply to cross its
EMA 9 in the last 6 or 9 days.
Thanks hheiden.

Thanks Bruce I'll try your suggestion. hheiden

QUOTE (Bruce_L) The Sort order of a Price Percent Change over one year would be the same as the Sort order of the Relative Strength vs the SP-500 over one year.
I am not quite sure what you mean by "Relative Strength 1 Year (vs SP-500) weighted to emphasize more recent performance" or "Exponential RS". There have been multiple requests related to IBD's "Relative Strength" Indicator however which is actually an average of the 3-Month, 6-Month, 9-Month and 12-Month Price Percent Changes with the 3-Month Percent Change having twice the weight of the other three Price Percent Changes.
40 * C / C63 + 20 * C / C126 + 20 * C / C189 + 20 * C / C252 - 100
You could use this Personal Criteria Formula as an EasyScan Condition with the EasyScan Rangefinder set to Rank: 80 to Max (99) in an EasyScan with the Watchlist to Scan set to Exchange Traded Funds.
You could also use the PCF as a Watchlist Column. In the current version of TeleChart, this Watchlist Column could be set to display the Rank.
Customize the Information Displayed in the WatchList
Create your own stock rankings using WatchLists and Sort conditions
But in the TC2000.com version 11 beta, you could only display the Value (keeping in mind that the sort order is exactly the same).

I need help to construct an Easy Scan:
Relative Strength 1 Year (vs SP-500) weighted to emphasize more recent performance.
Expressed as a percentile ranking (scaling between 0 - 99 )
I would like to scan all ETF's of 1Year or older for Exponential RS > 80
I view my charts mostly in a Weekly time frame.
Currently I use the visual value sort to find the top 15 ETF's without a value range
I am guessing at the exact position when rebalancing.
Thanks a lot. hheiden
