Topic: Color and Exp. MA
Posted: Thursday, October 25, 2007 10:26:36 AM
How can I change the candle colors to red (solid) for C>O and Green (solid) for O>C?  Also, in a MA PCF, how do I limit the scan to the past 3 days for a cross - eg. 10 EMA above 20 EMA?  Thanks.

Bruce -
Thanks for the PCF for the 10 day crossing the 21.  However, I want to limit it to crossing in the last 2-3 days.  What do I need to add?

I have been trying to write a PCF for the following, with no success. Basically want to screen for the exponential 10 MA crossing the Exp 21 MA crossing the Exp 50 MA. Thanks. It's just beyond my PCF level!

Thanks to all for their comments. I will definitely try these out, and will post if any seem really better than the original parameters. Dave

Thanks. I'm a swing (1-3), to short term (7-10 days) trader. Guess I'll stick with the original 12,26,9.
Any thought on the stochastics (slow) settings?

Does anyone have any suggestions for the parameters for MACD given the current market conditions? Thanks.

Anyone have thoughts on the best parameters to use for MACD, in the current market? Have been using5,13,6, but not very helpful. Not sure where I got those figures, either. Dave

I thought the formula- PCS - to scan for the past 30 day average volume was avgV30 > 300 to pick up all that were, say, 300,000 that day and averaging same for the past 30 days. Doesn't seem to work. Thanks

I thought the Volume PCS was avgV30 > 700 to scan for stocks that had 700,000 or more per day, average over the past 30 days. Doesn't seem to work.

Would you please give me the correct formula? Thanks.
