Topic: Gold Suite - what do you exactly mean by "Offline 25 year end-of-day auto-updating databank&quo
Posted: Wednesday, December 2, 2009 10:08:00 AM
I am about to renew my Gold subscription and found this probably not so old product.

I long time needed a complete historical EOD database with data on delisted companies and for some time period. So every time I make a new EOD download I'll get a full data say for 25 years back.

Is this now that way with Gold Suite ?

Topic: Is Worden data providing currently out of business ( 3+ hours now) ?
Posted: Saturday, March 3, 2007 5:37:07 AM
I can't currently login and/or update from Wordens for 3+ hours ( from about 2:00 A.M. EST Saturday March 3rd 2007 ). I think this is a problem on Wordens side.

Either my logging in is hanging when I am trying to launch TC2007 or - when I let it run for a while it then let me to log in but when trying to update I then get a misleading Telechart error message asserting : Connection Failed: Please check your internet connection.

But this is not true because :

1. I can post this issue at Worden forum just at the same time having this TC2007 login/update problem.
2. I have 2 PCs with 2 independent Internet providers ( a cable one and an ADSL other ).
3. My TC2007 Gold Service is valid till end of June 2008

I understand that there could be sometimes technical problems. But why don't just inform a TC2007 user about it instead of wrong error on Internet connectivity issue ?!
Topic: Percent Shares Held by Insiders + Institutions > 100 ?
Posted: Tuesday, February 22, 2005 3:19:00 PM
Recently I added to my charts a couple of fundamental data and Percent Shares held by Insiders resp. Institutions, too.
I asume that sum of these two indicators can't be > 100 % theoretically and should be < 100 % practically.

I am now going through my watchlist scan and finding some peculiarities, for instance ( 02/18/2005 ) :

....... .% Insiders.......% Institutions
QSFT..........43.31.................62.20
SWFT..........41.79.................70.00
SRNA..........30.86.................73.80

Are there some wrong data in TC2005 ? Or do these indicators mean anything different than one can simply imply by their names ?

Thank you for help

Topic: Round values to whole number - more specified
Posted: Wednesday, February 2, 2005 11:57:52 AM
Doug,

last week I posted the same topic.

Before I will contact support by phone (as you pointed) I'd like specify my issue to understand it better.
For your info - I have TC2000 5.3.00134 version.

I checked what are the specific fields atop chart that don't round values to whole number :

I found that fields values don't round for any percentage fields like : Dividend Yield, EPS Percent Change, Percent Change Revenue etc. when checked "Round values to whole number"

Rounding to whole number, if checked, works correctly for fields with numeric values both Wordens (High, Low etc.) and mine, too.

What is strange is when "round.." is checked for 'Bar % Change' field then TC2000 rounds (?) it, for example, this way :

values -> round(values)

4.46 % -> 0 %
-1.13 % -> 0 %

I don't think this is a rounding problem on my PC side.

Thank for help.

OK. I understand, you guys - stock and/or other - at Wordens' are doing the best ( or I hope it is so ) to deliver all to us, customers only.

I only like this forum could solve issues both minor and major as smooth as possible.

I am currently solving several my ORACLE database issues with OraFaq.com.
And this is by far the most efficient forum I have contributed till now.

There is a fair feature to a forum that a topic issuer get an e-mail notice when somebody response to his/her topic.
I miss this pretty nice feature in the Worden discussion forum.

Is it my problem I don't get that notice only ? Or anyway, is this feature a part of this forum.

Doug,

1. The link you gave points to main discussion forum page - see note by Neil040
2. Well, it seems that Beta release has not only issues but problems, too.
3. It's better patiently wait for more fixed Beta version or perhaps just a new release.
4. I am TC2000 customer for more than one year and subscribed that way to this forum.
To see that Bug Forum - Where is the link to that forum you mentioned.

I have been happy with TC2000 till now and hope will be in the future, too

Just I don't like wasting time searching what should have been where I left it.

Yesterday I post a topic on "Not Responding" status on my TC2005 beta
Forum administrator then wrote that he/she moved my topic to pre-release forum.

But there is no pre-release forum visible on http://www.worden.com/training/default.aspx !

I can't even find this topic when I click on my last 10 topics? My other topics are there except this one .

Yesterday I sent a mail to support but didn't get any response till now.

Could you, please, tell me :
1. Where is that pre-release forum
2. What is solution to my problem with "Not Responding" TC2005 beta

Anyway my TC2005 beta is not working.

Thank for help

( Currently having problem running 2005 version but post this issue in another topic )
If not I will solve thies by phone or support mail then.
