Topic: Gaps again
Posted: Thursday, August 24, 2006 6:09:50 PM
Hi guys,

I've got a scan that searches for stocks that gapped.

How do I extend this to stocks that gapped anytime within the past 3 months?

Hi,

How would you code for stock on the 200SMA with a long lower shadow?

Thanks,

What I'm looking for is gap up, tiny body, short lower shadow, long upper shadow.

A perfect example of the setup I'm looking for is BTU 11th May, gap up to a shooting star.

Have looked through the Boolean PCFs but nothing fits that pattern. The closest is gravestone doji/shooting star.

Can you help?

Thanks for the advice.

But how would I make the gap precede the candlestick reversal pattern?

Thanks,

Hi,

All the PCFs you've written in the past for me have worked out perfectly.

Would it be too much to ask for two more?...

1) stock gapping up to form a shooting star

2) stock gapping down to form a doji or spinning top

Thanks

Topic: Bounce off 50 SMA

... can I amend that?

Either a bounce off the 50SMA, and/or the price simply breaking above the 50SMA, within the past week.

Thanks.

Hi,

Would it be possible to code for a bounce off the 50 period SMA anytime within the past week?

Thanks!

Forgot to say... could you write one PCF based on weekly charts, and another on daily charts?

Thanks.
