in a sequence to filter a bigger list into smaller list

yes if i downloaded the whole day including the minutes. how many kilobytes would that be? would a 500 megabytes plan per month be enough?  to watch the data come in at realtime would it require a bigger dataplan like the 5gig that the wireless networks provide? just trying to get an idea how many mbytes are used watching the realtime data if im not at home.
