Topic: TCnet vs. e-signal
Posted: Saturday, November 1, 2008 12:00:41 AM

I am don't mean to put anything down or anything like that, BUT...
TCNET is not a trading plataform - it just doesn't have the tools and capabilities.
For example not before and after market activity on the charts, not level III, no TOS window, the matrix is a night mare unless you just keep symbol name and a couple other things in there.
ON the other hand is a find exploration tool, althought for exploration I would choose the regular Gold package.  I never really saw happen for TC NET as a daytrading tool - just my opinion.

E-signal, as well as TradeStation, and Cybertrading are full fledge daytrading stations.
E-signal is pricey (not brokerage account based), but good quality. TradeStation and Cybertrading can get you substantial discounts if you open an account from them.  All of those have the tools and capabilities a serious daytrader would consider.

Just my opinion - I am not saying that you cannot daytrade with TCNET - but that you would be somewhat at a disadvantage.

Well Reality -  back in the times when Blocks was just in the works and about to be release - there was the optiong to buy advertisement through Blocks, which the user had the choice to see from a menu.  Something different, and I always thought not too efficient, since the user had to click on the menu to see the adds.  Well I don't remember exactly how much $, but I remember the were very pricey.
And you know they didn't flash on your face like those do now.
Also I like the per click rates, and I am not too fond of per impressions.
Anyway I am sure they have their reasons to bring them up now.
I must say, the board is losing some character.

One more thing. The first level of substantial resistant is about 9800 (DOW).  So is this retracement awakes it is possible it will reach there.  I doubt it will go that far under current economic enviroment.  The election may help a bit, but that is as far as I see it go.
You know we could be there in a couple of hours - who knows.

I can't anwer those question with specific time frames in mind.  I wish I could.
Yes, 1400 north with 800 of those happening in just under 2 hrs.  Like I said - something fishy?
Like I have said before - no fundamental changes have taken place in our economy, and it is in fack deteriorating further.
Asia is falling as we speak.  Japan has fallen hard (2.7% down for Nikkey) regardless of the lower interest rate proposed and the 270 Billion stimulus.
Folks are not buying the same song again.
It is amazing that corporations and banks are being granted this kind of money without even a solid plan for restructure of business.
Nonetheless a friend of mind brough this up a couple days ago.  It is interesting, although I dissagree as far as the bottom goes.  Once I confirm "the bottom", the following theory can play well.  Lets see.
I am not sure if the moderator will allow this - it is just a blog.
If allowed - make sure to click on the picture.  It will show you an interesting correlation between the
Nasdaq - Feb 1992 - Oct 2008 and Dow 1921 -Dec 1942.  I am sure you catch the wave.
w's dot i b d editorials dot com  altogether of course.

who claims that this is a "bottom"?  I certainly haven't seem any capitulation yet.
No volume patterns that indicates "the bottom", no reversals, no real panic, none of the obvious things that indicate a technical capitulation.

Fundamentals of the economy?  Getting worse by the minute.

Can you explain the over 800 point rise of the Dow just a few days ago (in just 2 hours)?  Something smells rotten.

We may be at a fluctuation here, but I think far from the "bottom".
