Topic: Print copy of Blocks Manual
Posted: Tuesday, November 6, 2007 10:49:22 PM
QUOTE (fundtrader)
Per your advice, I took a copy of the blocks manual pdf to Kinkos to get a printed copy.

They said they could not print it because the file contained errors that prevent the file from being printed.

Do you have any idea what they are talking about? When I read it in adobe 8.1 it looks fine to me.

Any suggestions?

I downloaded the manual (PDF) tonight (Nov 6) and tried to print it, and all I  could get was the graphics part.  I downloaded again, converted it to a Word document, but the conversion screwed things up so much it would have taken days and days to correct them.  I have Adobe Acrobat Professional, 8.0 (latest vs).  I checked the security features and it didn't have any restrictions placed on editing or printing.  I am not real proficient with Acrobat (just got it about a month ago), but even though the manual appears fine to the eye, there is something going on to keep it from printing properly.

I posted this about April 20 but have not had a response yet. I haven't used these forum sites enough to be proficient, so I will post it again and hope I haven't violated some rule. Has anyone seen Craig S about??

Craig S-
In your presentation/training recently in Phoenix, you made a passing reference to an article in "Stocks & Commodities" magazine, but weren't able to identify the title and guessed at the date as being near the first of the year/Christmas. You used the article as an example for getting the syntax and order of procedures to be able to get the "one" and needed correct answer to a programming task with blocks. I have looked through the issues from about October to January but haven't been able to decide, without some additional clues, as to which article that might have been. Now that you are at home and have your references, can you pass on an additional clue or two as to which issue and article that was?
Thank you for your great presentation. It was the best!

I downloaded all the 'stuff' you have listed with your notes from your Phoenix presentation. Firstly, I didn't fill out the class assessment or rating (I forgot to get one), but I feel compelled to say here that your presentation was undoubtedly the best one I have been to that was given as part of 'Worden Bros.' series and update on things new to the current version of TC. I hope the word makes it to the upper echelons of the WB fabric as to what a great presenter you are. Your control of the class, keeping questions and comments to a prescribed period, and making a large amount of material fit into the alloted time was wonderful. You are to be commended for your talent as a teacher and making every minute count. How can I find out where and what you will be giving additional courses for TC? For the subject materials I would choose, it is certainly worth the cost of lodging and a plane trip there and back.
Thank you for the best TeleChart Class I have experienced.
