If one has two stocks, A and B, it is possible to plot A and overlay B to visually compare the two. In pairs trading strategies, one needs the spread, A-B, its 10-period SMA, and perhaps its ratio A/B. Is it possible using Telechart PCFs to code a sequence that would plot A-B and then allow indicators to be applied to this composite spread? Thanks

Thank you, Bruce. I will review some of the Telechart basics and dig into these previous referecnes re: CANSLIM. I did realize after my initial post that the EPS % growth does indeed compare a given quarter with its prior year value, not it's nearest neighbor quarter.

I am having some difficulty in writing PCFs/Easy Scans to identify stocks that fit IBD/O'Neils CANSLIM method. For example, rather than set % growth in EPS from 5 quarters ago and from 4 quarters ago to... latest quarter, I really need to compare growth from Q1 2010 to Q1 2009, etc. due to seasonality issues. I cannot find an "EPS variable" that could be used in a PCF and imported into an EasyScan. Has anyone previously produced a set of conditions that mimics the CANSLIM constraints for scanning? Thanks.
