Topic: Print copy of Blocks Manual
Posted: Sunday, September 2, 2007 6:29:01 PM
Per your advice, I took a copy of the blocks manual pdf to Kinkos to get a printed copy.

They said they could not print it because the file contained errors that prevent the file from being printed.

Do you have any idea what they are talking about? When I read it in adobe 8.1 it looks fine to me.

Any suggestions?

Excellent, very thorough. Now I can correlate with anything.

This will be very helpful.

I am trying to measure the statistical correlation between two stocks (prices).

Correlation is a statistical measurement of the relationship between two variables. Possible correlations range from +1 to –1. A zero correlation indicates that there is no relationship between the variables. A correlation of –1 indicates a perfect negative correlation, meaning that as one variable goes up, the other goes down. A correlation of +1 indicates a perfect positive correlation, meaning that both variables move in the same direction together.

I don't think a ratio would accomplish the same thing. My assumption is that the code block in Blocks for "correlation" is statistical correlation.

Hope this helps.

Currently, Blocks has a code block "Correlation" which I could use to develop a correlation indicator to compare the plots for two different stocks. Has Worden or anyone already created an indicator that does this?

If not, could you create one. I am sure a lot of users would find it useful and it would save each of us having to develop a unique version of it.

Thanks

Is there any possibility Worden will offer a printed copy of the Blocks Manual for purchase?

Thanks

I clicked on the time and sales tool but all it did was pop up a blank screen with no data in it.

Are there instructions on how to activate it?

There are print screen programs available for download (free & not).

I just started using one called "snagit" that selectively prints anything and everything off the blocks screen. It works great.

Hope this helps!

Build 54 has not updated automically and setting the force update under system options has no effect.

Any suggestions?
