god, i'm hopeless. in my last post i said in (1) that i wanted the 13-week ema's. i really mean the 26-week ema's.

apparently i "wished" for the wrong thing. in elder's "come into my trading room" he's modified the triple screen formula and given alternatives.
so what i really want now is (i hope):
1. the latest 13-week ema > last weeks 13-week ema, and
2. the latest 2-day ema of his force index < 0.
if you've read his books or see that it's obvious that i still don't know what i want, you have my permission to spank me (after rectifying my errors, of course <g>)

if i'd known that the formula was that "simple" i'd never have bothered you in the first place.

In his book, Come into My Trading Room, (p. 132) dr elder suggests a 26-week ema and a macdh for his screen #1 with both current week indicator levels to be greater than the previous week's level. to that end i patched together the following pcf but in at least one case, MRO for the close of 4/27/2007, the macdh is below the previous week's level. there were other discrepancies in my screening but since i have an error somewhere in my formula, here it is for your review. can you please tell me where i went awry?
XAVGC26 > XAVGC26.5 AND
XAVGC12 - XAVGC26 - (XAVG(XAVGC9,12) - XAVG(XAVGC9,26)) - (XAVGC12.5 - XAVGC26.5 - (XAVG(XAVGC9.5,12) - XAVG(XAVGC9.5,26))) > 0
also i'd rather have the macdh formula component showing "current week" > "last week" rather than the form i have it in, "current week" - "last week" > 0. i'd have waded thru the parens but since i already have an error kicking around somewhere, i thought that exercise would be pointless.
