Topic: Stockfinder data export date format problem

Hi Bruce,

Every time I export data from Stockfinder and open the CSV file in excel I get a consistent problem with the date formatting. When I convert the date column to a date format, only a fraction of the rows convert correctly. For some reason excel wants to interpret some rows in the DD/MM format and some in the MM/DD format. I can't really see a pattern, but a specific example is that from January 3 2011 to January 12 2011 excel interprets stockfinders data as DD/MM but from January 13 to 2011 to January 31 2011 MM/DD.

I've been using a workaround which is acceptable but time consuming, but I thought I would check in with you to see whether there is something that can be done.

Is this a known problem? Is there a solution? Am I just doing something wrong?

Thanks

Hi,

What is the simplest way via a condition or realcode to filter a watchlist to confirm that each symbol has greater than X bars of data? I want to filter out new stocks basically, and I cannot think of a simple/elegant way to do it.

cheers

Hi,

Could you clarify how the A/D ratio is calculated in Stockfinder?

I was under the impression it was simply # of Advancers divided by # of Decliners, but when I add the A/D ratio to a chart I am getting negative numbers.

Cheers,

Stoker

Topic: Watchlist of Short ETF's
Posted: Sunday, December 19, 2010 4:27:02 PM
All,

I could not find an easy way of extracting the list from the ETF site (perhaps there is an easy way, but I could not see it). So I have done it by hand. In case it saves anyone 15 minutes of tedious work - I post them below.

BTW, there were 104 ETF's listed, but when I add them to a watchlist, only 98 exist in Stockfinder. If anyone is interested, the ETF's that are in the ETF site above, but not in Stockfinder are:

RRZ
RMS
REC
RFN
RHO
RTW

The ETF's that exist in both places:

SDS BGZ DPK LSC SZO MYY SPXU RXD DUG SDD
FAZ BXDB EDZ JFT DBV EFZ SMDD SIJ SFK REW
TBT BXDC ERY DRR DZZ EUM PST MZZ SJF TLL

Thanks Bruce  - done.

One small thing, is it possible to hide the value of the indicator from the legend?

I have named them OB and OS, but the value is being displayed (see below) - can I hide this?
