perhaps we should start over with a different explanation I am trying to determine if there is a reduction in the number of outstanding shares over time espeically if it is the result of share buyback  

can a scan for change in the float be better ?

I am willing to accept that splits would have an impact but perhaps we should start over with a different explanation I am trying to determine if there is a reduction in the number of outstanding shares over time espeically if it is the result of share buyback

an increase of decrease in outstanding shares today versus 30 days or 1 year ago
