if something is not working out the way you are expecting, the prudent course is to "bail".  (of course, in hindsight you will wish you had not, if the thing works out anyway - for some unexplained reason).  however, if you want to have a "system", then you cannot let these things go when it is not perfoming as expected. 

if you are letting the trade run "out of system" then you are just "hoping" that somehow it works out.  that is not technical analysis - that is gambling; a game of chance.
