Topic: SMI BEARISH AND BULLISH CROSSOVERS
Posted: Friday, March 7, 2008 1:44:51 PM

Hi Bruce,

Yes,  I am talkiing about SMI outlined in Stochastic Momentum Index?
The two formulas I am looking for are the SMI crossing down through the signal (my understanding is that this is bearish) and the SMI crossing up through the signal (bullish). Am I correct on this? I will know as soon as I run the formulas.

Regards,
Tradingfreedom

What would be the PCF for:

1) A bearish decline in the MACD Histogram (12,26.9) where today's MACD closing is above zero, and lower  than yesterday's MACD closing, and yesterday's MACD closing is higher than the MACD closing of two days ago?

2)  A bullish increase in the MACD Histogram (12,26.9) where today's MACD closing is below zero and higher  than yesterday's MACD closing, and yesterday's MACD closing is lower than the MACD closing of two days ago?

Hi,

What would be the PCF where the MACD (13,34,1) is between 0.5 and -0.1, and the MACD (13,34,1) is lower than the MACD close on any one of the prior three days.

Hi Bruce,

Thank you for the formula.

What would be the PCF for the raw MACD (12,26,9) to be between -0.5 and 0.5 and where the MACD lines have crossed today?

What would be the PCF for the MACD hisogram (12,26,9) to be higher today than one week ago and the stock price to be lower than one week ago.

What would be the PFC as above using a two week period?

What would be the PFC for both of the above but with the MACD histogram lower today and the stock price higher?
