Right click on the top window of the chart.
Click ADD INDICATOR
Click CUSTOM INDICATOR
Check the Price Scale option
for the high use:
formula: H period: 10 simple
for the low use:
formula: L period: 8 simple
Two seperate custom indicators.
Let me know if you have any questions.

There is no assurance that AVGH10 is above AVGL8. If you choose the two periods the same, you will at least have that assurance.

bustermu is correct.
In the last two years, 1189 of the 6825 stocks had at least one day when the AVGH10 was less than AVGL8.
In order for this to happen, there must be a strong 1 or 2-day move up that occured 9 or 10 days ago.
Typically AVGH10 will be greater than AVGL8.

Craig,
In order for
AVGH10 < AVGL8
we must have
AVGH2.8 < AVGL8
In light of this, your statement:
"In order for this to happen, there must be a strong 1 or 2-day move up that occured 9 or 10 days ago."
should be something like:
"In order for this to happen, there must be a strong move up more recently than 8 days ago."
This is necessary for AVGL8 to get above (H8+H9)/2 which must happen in order for it to be above AVGH10.
Thanks, Jim Murphy
