Dear Trainer:

I previously used an indicator called AccuTrack. I really liked this indicator and would like to use it with TC2000. To the best of my knwoledge it is not a proprietary indicator, but the (removed by Moderator) literature is somewhat vague on its exact formula. THird party vendors have used the formula in attach-on programs.

Is it possible that you know this formula and could you send it to me
as a custom indicator?

Thanks much.

As best as my research can uncover, this indicator compares the ROC of a stock to the ROC of another benchmark.

You can plot the Relative Strength of your stock to something else but I do not know a way to plot the RS of the ROC of an active symbol to the ROC of another ticker.

Can you create the AccuTrack indicator in StockFinder?

AccuTrack Indicator:

AccuTrack Shows the relative fund performance versus the index performance.

AccuTrack Parameter 1 is a smoothing factor. Parameter 2 governs the length of the moving averages used internally in the computation of AccuTrack. To Compute Each Day's AccuTrack bar.

1) Compute a daily change for the fund and the index by the formula:
    Change = (TodayNAV - YesterdayNAV) / YesterdayNAV

2) Exponentially smooth FundChange and IndexChange by Parameter 2 starting from  the 1st date in the database.

3) Subtract the smoothed fundChange and IndexChange computed above.
     Diff = FundChange -IndexChange

4) Exponentially smooth Diff by Parameter 1.

Thanks

Eddie

abfs,
You should be able to Open an attached Indicator directly into a running copy of StockFinder (and save it from within StockFinder if desired). You could also copy and paste the Indicator into the \My Documents\StockFinder5\(Your Username)\My Indicators\ folder and then load it like you would any other Indicator (for StockFinder 4, use the \My Documents\StockFinder\(Your Username)\My Indicators\ folder instead).

Very odd. It was saved with this option selected and it displays a Value box on my computer.

It should probably be noted that the values produced by the algorithm are usually very small and will frequently just display 0.00 when taken out to two decimal places.

Is no Value Scale and Value displayed for the Indicator or are the Values just 0?

It show the value now after I edit the Block Diagram. I change the value to multiply by the value from divide.

Thanks

As long as you understand it is no longer following the exact algorithm provided. The results will be the correct digits, just off by a factor of 10,000.
