I saved some notes which I now deleted however I am unable to remove that symbol from the watchlist...these are just personal notes no Worden notes have been attached. Is the feature to remove symbols not available because it is a system watchlist? How can I remove these symbols? Thank you in advance

If there are no notes by you or Worden's on the ticker, it should remove itself next time you update and get new data.

You can only remove symbols from WatchLists that you have created (Personal WatchLists). You cannot remove symbols from any of the System watchlists.

Why when we add a note to a symbol does it default to a "system watchlist", is this a "bug" Thanks

I don't understand the question.
When you write a note on a ticker that ticker becomes a memeber of charts with notes. Charts with notes is like an EasyScan.... it scans for all the stocks with notes on it.

Sorry for any confusion...Yes I wrote a note on a ticker, I then deleted that note for that ticker, the note is gone however the ticker is still a "member of charts with notes".What I would like to do is remove that ticker from being a "member of charts with notes". I tried your earlier suggestion about updating but the ticker with no note still remains a "member".

I have a similar problem as yankeetown. When I write personal notes on any stock and subsequently delete the note or try to change the note date, the date I posted the note remains for that ticker and as a result it either remains in the charts with notes watchlist without a note, or is queued in the charts with notes ranking as of that date, not the date of the last actual note I have for that stock.

Is there a fix for this yet? It's been driving me nuts for months now. I have about 100 stocks which I've deleted notes from but they still show up in my 'Charts with notes' list. This is making the list unmanageable for me. Please fix this.

If you have Platinum Service, the symbol is expected to remain in Charts with Notes after all Personal Notes are deleted because of a known issue in the way the Notes are stored remotely.
If you have Gold Service and have the same problem, please follow the instructions below:
1. Close TC2005 2. Open My Computer. 3. Navigate to C:/Program Files/TeleChart/User/Data/PersonalNotes 4. Right-click on the NoteDates.dts file and click Delete. 5. Open TC2005 and the Notes should no longer appear under Charts with Notes.
After following the above instructions, you will want to perform the procedure below to restore all Note Dates to the system.
1. Change your Watchlist to Charts with Notes, and sort the list by Note Dates 2. Click the down arrow to the right of the Notes button in the lower-left corner of the screen and make sure only Personal Notes are selected, click OK. 3. Click the Tools menu and click Slide Show. 4. Hit the + key on your numeric keypad 3 times so that each symbol has a Display Time of 5 seconds, as confirmed at the top of the Chart. 5. Let this scroll through your entire list of Charts with Notes, and the Note Dates should be restored.

Bruce,
Thank you for the quick response. I do have the Gold service and deleting NoteDates.dts did the trick. Apparently the 'restore' instructions aren't necessary -- TeleChart (properly) rebuilt NoteDates.dts when I restarted it and my notes were attached without me having to do the slide show.
Thanks again,
Mike
