Hi

Having searched the forum, i can't find anything related to a way to change the order of indicators/drawing items on a chart. For example, is it possible to "send to back" trendlines o that they sit behind price?

Thanks in advance

Chris

There isn't a built in way to re-arrange the order. So you are usually going to have to remove and re-add indicators to re-arrange the plot order.

Indicators added later will generally get plotted overtop indicators added to the chart earlier.

Child indicators will generally be plotted overtop the parent indicator.

A parent and its childern are usually going to be plotted together before other indicators, no matter what order the other indicators were added.

If there is more than one scale in a pane, all of the indicators in the first scale will get plotted before indicators in a second scale (with the second scale being plotted overtop the first scale).

The only way I know of to get price to plot overtop all of the other indicators is to add a second copy of price in the same pane and scale as the first copy of price (and even this won't get it to plot overtop indicators plotted in another scale in the same pane unless the prices line up exactly without being in the same scale).

Hi Bruce,

I like your thinking. Thank you very much for the workaround of re-plotting over the top.

Thanks very

Chris
