Bruce,
I see a pattern that I would like for StockFinder to scan for me using RealCode.
The pattern is on a weekly chart:
• After a short to long period where price has been below the 200-day MA, it closes above the 200-day MA.
• Price then, after a short period, closes below the 200-day MA.
• After a short period, price again closes above the 200-day MA. And this is where I wish to see the scan capture the stock.
An example of this pattern can be seen using the stock ZIOP on a weekly chart with the last bar dated 01/16/15. Stock first closes above 200-day on approximately 6/6/14, closes below 200-day on approximately 7/3/14. Stock again closes above 200-day on approximately 11/14/14. I’m using MA 40 on weekly chart for 200-day MA.
Thank you,
Ed

You don't need RealCode for this.
Drag and drop price onto the moving average and select Create Condition.
Choose Crossing Up Through Moving Average and select OK.
Repeat the process except set it to Passing 2 of the Last 30 Bars instead of 1 of 1.
Drag and drop one of the conditions onto the other conditions and select Create New Combo Condition.
Give the new Combo Condition a name and save it.

Bruce,
Thank you. Your solution was very easy to generate and it works.
Your simplicity reminds me of a quote by Warren Buffett - "There seems to be some perverse human characteristic that likes to make easy things difficult". Appears that I may have some of this.
I wil review your link on "Creating Conditions" along with the many other StockFinder videos at http://www.worden.com/Video/StockFinder/Main, since I am realizing SF is quite a powerful program and I should use more often vs. just TC2000.
