Hi.  Sorry if this is kind of a basic question, but it's just an indicator I actually haven't had to use a lot before.  Quite simply, I know that TC has the "Wilder's RSI," but what about the "regular" (I guess you could say "non-Wilder's) RSI, which I believe is a different indicator.  Quite simply, is there any way to derive the non-Wilder's version from the version you have by altering the settings?  If not, is there a custom indicator formula for this one?  Thanks.

Wilders is whats considered standard RSI to most traders and trading platforms.

If you want whats most common for most traders use Wilders.

(the difference is it uses a longer period exp smoothing)

RSI (non-Wilders) uses simple smoothing.

RSI (simple) is whats built into the PCF language.

Hope that helps.

I appreciate that, but I'm trying to trade a system that, for some reason or another, just uses a plain-old RSI.  So, is there, in fact, any way to replicate that version of the indicator in TC?  Thanks again.

If you select Add Plot to Chart (the green + in the upper left of the chart) and type RSI, both the RSI indicator and the RSI - Wilder's indicator will be listed.

If you do not want Wilder's smoothing used for the calculations, choose the plain RSI indicator (as diceman noted, this is the version built into the Personal Criteria Formula Language).

If you do want Wilder's smoothing used for the calcluations, choos the RSI - Wilder's indicator.
