Is there a way to search for stocks whose PPO is changing from up to down, or vice versa?

Thanks,

Dan

Are you interested in the PPO or PPO Histogram? What are the settings?

The PPO at 12-26-9, I like to use the oscillator crossing the 9 as and indicator, but figure that changing from down to up for example, can id stocks to watch.

Thanks

For PPO (but not the PPO Histogram because of a bug), the easiest way to do this is to just click on the PPO and select Create Scan Condition. This would allow you to choose Crossing Down Exp Moving Average 9 from the list (or choose Crossing Up Exp Moving Average 9 from the list).

Create Conditions from Your Chart

If you need to create a condition from crossing in either direction, you would need to create a Condition Fomula.

Yes, I have the EMA crossing scan condition, but what I was hoping for is to identify "turns," up or down, in the PPO itself.  When I scan for and seeing the crosses, I have often wished I had been watching for it before it happened.

A Condition Formula for the slope changing from positive to negative or from negative to positive could be written as:

SGN(XAVGC12 / XAVGC26 - XAVGC12.1 / XAVGC26.1) <> SGN(XAVGC12.1 / XAVGC26.1 - XAVGC12.2 / XAVGC26.2)
