I understand the appropriateness of using the email address to send comments and questions to the developers as board moderators have posted and suggested, and I have done that already. But is it okay to have an open discussion here amongst TC users about v11 impressions? Likes and dislikes, etc.? My thinking is that this would cut down on a flood of emails to the beta developers, i.e. a few comments and thoughts here would assist too. Thanks.

If this is not a good idea I totally understand...I just read another post or two from moderators where they request that all comments about v11 be sent to that email address. Feeling not hurt:)

We'll be adding forums for the TC2000.com version 11 beta at some point. Right now the developers want to get a feel for what questions and problems people are having so they can hopefully minimize both in the future.
In addition, the software is currently at the most fluid point in its development, where the features are most subject to change. Part of the idea of the forums is permanence (or at least semi-permanence). We really don't want a bunch of questions with official answers related to the product available that were outdated almost as soon as they were posted.
There has been some general discussions of it already in the Stock and Market Talk forum. I would encourage you to continue in one of those topics or start your own. It might be technically off-topic, but the discussions won't be deleted for being so. While it is called Stock and Market Talk, it is actually the most widely varied and heavily trafficked of our forums.

Thanks for explaining in detail Bruce, the policy makes really good sense to me now.

I understand that v11 is server based, does it means that I have to be connected to the internet to use the software ? if so, that will be bad for me as I don't necessary have internet connection when I want to use the software, especailly if I am mainly doing eod analysis.
