I'm trying to make a PCF that follows a method posted by Larry Connors in SFO magazine. Criteria is ETFs that are above the 200 MA and today closes below its five day MA. Two days ago the high and low were below the previous day's high and low, yesterday the high and low were below the previous day's high and low.  Today's high and low are below yesterday's.
You then buy on the close and sell when the ETF moves back up above its five day MA.
Would like to test this out.  Would appreciate help with the PCF to put in a scan.
Thanks

This PCF will find stocks that meet your entry criteria above. I assumed simple averaging, if you need exponential, just change AVGC200 to XAVGC200 and AVGC5 to XAVGC5.

C > AVGC200 and C < AVGC5 and H2 < H3 and L2 < L3 and H1 < H2 and L1 < L2 and H < H1 and L < L1

Ran this against the Exchange Traded Funds list tonight and the following ETFs passed:

You may also want to consider this.
It requires the close to be above the 5MAV 3 days ago and
the close to be beneath the 5MAV each day of the 3 day signal:

C>AVGC200ANDC<AVGC5ANDH2<H3ANDL2<L3ANDH1<H2ANDL1<L2ANDH<H1 ANDL<L1ANDC3>AVGC5.3ANDC1<AVGC5.1ANDC2<AVGC5.2

Thanks

Here is another PCF I would appreciate some help with. This is also based on a method by Larry Connors.
In this one the ETF must be above its 200 day MA, and has dropped below its 5 day MA.
It has dropped four out of the last five days, so the closing prices were
lower than the day before for four out of the last 5 days.
On this one you then buy, and then exit when the ETF closes above its 5 day moving average.

Try this:

C > AVGC200 AND C < AVGC5 AND ABS(C < C1) + ABS(C1 < C2) + ABS(C2 < C3) + ABS(C3 < C4) + ABS(C4 < C5) >= 4 AND C5 > AVGC5.5 AND C4 < AVGC5.4 AND C3 < AVGC5.3 AND C2 < AVGC5.2 AND C1 < AVGC5.1

I just had 2 profitable trades off this. Buying EWA (3day) and XES(5 day)
and selling when they went above the 5mav.

Thanks
