We, as trainers, do not provide anything close to trading advice or strategies. We can help you develop PCFs to find certain stocks doing certain things. We cannot provide PCFs for what a stock might do.

Remember, you scan and sort for stocks based on what they have done (it is the only data you have). You can then look through the results and make your decision.

I think you are really asking for what people think stocks look like before they rally. What do people look for on a chart to help them decide if a stock is ready to rally?

I will move this to the Stock Talk forum so other user's can offer their opinions....

When will you guys stop looking for a holy grail?
There isn't one. The markets require constant change in your end. What works today may not work tomorrow.
You are the market. If you think you are acomplished in the market for good, you will fail. This is one of the most demanding jobs out there. It requires confronting daily situations never alike, just when you think your are on solid ground, it will dissipate. You are confronting a crowd never static.
So I will give you a PCF that always work-
1st - understand economic indicators and how they affect the market + 2nd - know your industry group and be aware all the time about what is rotating. + 3rd - learn to check income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements on your own. + 4th - find solid stocks (base on the above)for bull markets + 5th - find weak stocks (base on the above)for bear markets. + 6th - Study their charts for optimum points of entry. + 7th - learn to read the crowd's move - Volume + 8th - let the stock get you out (Stop or trailing stop) and KISS = better than average results.

good luck

Yes, here is one

C = MAXC65

which is closes at a new quarterly high. this scan identifies stocks that investors and traders are interpreting the quarterly earnings and news and forecasts as positive, and therefore if the stock realtive to the same point in time as the earnings release last quarter, is higher, more are buying into it for fundamental reasons. . .
