I just signed up for platnium so that I can monitor a vol pcf (vol/avgvol(65))on a live, intraday basis. I was told at the chat desk I could do it and that I should come to this site to find out how. Lloyd

This is very similar to a question you asked back in early May:

Volume as a % of 65 day MA

The answer is pretty much the same except for the Indicator Formula which would be:

V / AVGV65

I've tried that but no luck. My volume isn't streaming- although price is. I just set up yesterday - could I have not set up properly? Lloyd

Some questions about your Real Time Indicator Sort:

- Is the Sort Method set to Actual Value?
- Is Use Real Time Data (Max 200) checked?
- What is the Sort Refresh Frequency?

I can find real time settings but where would I find the real time indicator sort? Lloyd

Right now I'm not sure I'm getting my volume data feed- they claim there is an issue. But I would like to know where the real time indicator sort is. Lloyd

You may wish to review the first two referenced topics from Wednesday, May 02, 2007 3:21:17 PM ET post in Volume as a % of 65 day MA again.

Plotting Custom Indicators with Examples
Real time indicator sorting (available at the Platinum level)

The first topic shows how to set up a Custom Indicator. The second topic shows how to use Real Time Indicator Sorts.

Once you have the Custom Indicator, you will select Sorted By | Indicators | Your Custom Indicator.

The options mentioned in my Tuesday, July 31, 2007 10:10:45 AM ET post should be available in the window that appears.

I think I have it now. I set it to actual value, 200 max, and 30 second refresh. When I went back to check it the criteria was gone . Does that mean I'm going to have set it for each sort? I went to edit with the intention of saving it but there was nothing to save.I want to see the current value at the top of my chart and on my watchlist on an ongoing basis. Thanks again-sorry to be such a pain. Lloyd

And again on top of all that, I'm not getting any volume data. Lloyd

While the Custom Indicator itself can be saved, I do not know of a way to save Indicator Sorts (Real Time or not). You will need to set it up each time you wish to use it.

If you place the Custom Indicator (or a copy wish visible unchecked) in the Top Pane, it will stream in the Pointer Mode Data Box. You can bring up the Pointer Mode Data Box by selecting the Period Key (.) on your keyboard twice and make it go away by selecting the Period Key (.) again (it toggles between three modes).
