I'm trying to write a scan that shows when the current indicator's value is greater than it's maximum value over the last 200 days. I'm trying to do this on an average daily range indicator. What am I doing wrong ? ( avgh10-avgl10)>MAX(avgh10-avgl10)200

I do not know of a practical way to write this formula.

Suppose x is a sequence of N numbers,
x = (x(1), x(2), ..., x( N ))
There is, in general, no practical way to write a PCF for the maximum of the sequence if N is very large. Sixteen is about my limit.
If we wish to determine whether
y > max{x( n )| n = 1,2,...,N}
is true, we need only write
y>x(1) AND y>x(2) AND ... AND y>x( N )
which grows only linearly with N.
I believe you may have overlooked the above approach. Did you?
