I want to write a personal criteria formula for the seven-day moving average being greater than the 18-day moving average. Is it as simple as "avgc7>avgc18"? I brand new at this so you cannot be too specific. Thanks

Yes you are correct:
AVGC7>AVGC18
for exp mav:
XAVGC7>XAVGC18
