if i jump to a stock, how can i flag it? I couldn't find an option to just flag the currently viewed stock.

Select WatchList | Active Symbol | Flag/Unflag.

I am not sure but I think the method supplied by Bruce only works if the stock you jump to is in the active watchlist. (it may not work if it is not)
One way around this is to make your active watchlist "All Stocks". Then any stock you jump to will be in the list.
The symbol will appear on the watchlist and you can just click to the left of it.

If you jump to a stock you can just hit the
F
key on your keyboard to flag it.
