Hi,
I currently have a system where I look at a couple of websites to get additional information on stocks from a Telechart Stocklist. Essentially I look for dates of next earnings of the company and also a list of investors business daily ratings from a website that I subscribe to.

With the snapsheet, can I link them all together so that when I scroll on the snapsheet, they all get automatically updated in 1 keystroke?

Thanks,
Watson

With SnapSheets, you can have multiple browsers set to view different websites but viewing the same stock (and it is possible to have that be TeleChart's Active Symbol and scroll through your Watchlist using the Space Bar for example). Some of these have already been set up for you and can be accessed by selecting Snap-Ins | Add Snap-In Tool | from Web Library | Browsers. You can create your own if you know the URL format for the desired website. For example, here's a Block Diagram of a Browser Snap-In that searches the Worden Archives for Daily Worden Reports containing TeleChart's Active Symbol (it's just a modified version of the Google Business News Symbol Search Browser from the Snap-In Web Library):

It's not all that useful (the search will frequently bring up Daily Worden Reports that just contain the symbol as part of another word), but should give you some idea how to use the Text Merge Block to construct a URL that references a symbol (we could have used Company Name just as easily and it might have been better). While the details will be different, it is frequently possible to construct a workable URL by just merging the symbol into the appropriate location.

Thanks, Bruce. Is there by any chance a training video for this kind of exercise?

Best,

The Your First 3 Block Diagrams Tutorial Videos cover the basics required for editing Block Diagrams. While not entirely necessary, it might be better to go to www.snapsheets.com to review the SnapSheets Videos in the order presented. They do build on each other to some extent.

The SnapSheets Web Library has a TeleChart Integration Demo that you might also want to explore. To open it, select File | Open SnapSheet | from Web Library | TeleChart Integration Demo.
