Here is the Investors Business Daily rank of these stocks and the 100 day percent change:
*********IBD******100 day per change
CIEN****89*******83.13 FNSR****81*******95.35 JDSU****76*******73.84 SUNW****57*******11.45 LU******44********-12.62
Based on the fact that SUNW and LU have the weakest fundamental rank and the weakest actual performance. They are the stocks I would sell.
A good general rule of thumb is took keep your winners and let your losers go.
The natural tendency of the beginning trader is to take quick profits on stocks that have gone up and keep stocks that aren't working for them. (In the hopes that time will make them correct) All this does is leave you with mediocre stocks that never tend to perform well.
Hope that helps Good Luck

thanks alot for your advice. i did sold those 2 yesterday morning per your advice and what really shock me was when i was looking at the 5 minute chart of fnsr. on my short term i was trying to sell some of my position beacuse i thought if would pull back and i was thinking probably of buying it if it touches my 20 day moving average or if i got confirmation. thanks a lot.

SUNW i like it. you could put a stop loss yesterday then sold it. any way it could B/O this year high. MS holding up strong. notice MS pick on 1-13-06 and recent pick it's a divergance.

You must be kidding me! IBD - their info is as obsolete as a 296 if you know what I mean. CIEN, and JDSU better than SUWN, and LUV financially??? I haven't and will not check balance sheets, and cash flow for this, buy just doesn't sound right. For long term all except SUNW look like good holds. If you daytrade or swing trade SUNW can bring nice profits. If you cannot decide what to drop, just set trailing stops and let the stocks make the call, as it should be. If they don't, let the profits run. Remember you must let profits run to survive your losses. As for IBD forget it. If you want to check fundamentals check them yourself - Ameritrade as well as Wallstreet Journal offer the best raw data - you do the work. Technicals on TC2005 and there you are fine. Rankings are for fools.

As of 3/10/06 The IBD 100 an index of their 100 top ranked stocks calculated every week is up 130.4% vs 36.8% for the SP-500.
The top stocks in their "BIG CAP 20" last year. Were GOOG, AAPL, BR, SLB, UNH. Were up 84.58% for 2005.
That's the type of foolishness I like!!!

By ranking the stock based on price performance that's exactly what I did. SUNW and LU were chosen as sales for their poor price performance.

SUNW was chosen as a sell candidate by me but, the traders post asked for two stocks worthy of sale.
Also you stated "LUV" in your post the stock in question was "LU".

I find it odd you would offer advice on fundamentals when its not something you check yourself.

You are entitled to your opinion but my guess would be you haven't used IBD for quite some time if ever.
Thanks Good Luck
