Dang! You're good.

I would like to write a pdf that subtracts today's close from 90 days ago's close--easy enough, then divides the difference by the Average True Range for the past 20 days. I would like to be able to sort my watchlist by this criteria.
Is there existing code for ATR already? I could use some help.
Thanks.

Thanks, Craig. What I have so far is two very simple custom indicators. One is simply MAXH20 and the other is MINL20, with the "plot using price scale" box checked. It seems to do what I want, but I get error messages saying Formula error, no calc.

Somewhat related to the Max Range question, is there a pcf that draws Donchian channels? It would be the max price of the last 20 bars/candles and the min price of the last 20. The lines would be horizontal until a new high or low price happened. Very simple. No moving averages. I'm sure this has been done years ago. I would like to use it as a custom indicator.

Thanks a lot. Very helpful. I give it 5 stars.

Is there some formula to set up a scan to help find head and shoulders top or bottom formations?
|
Thanks! I'll give pressing the period key two times a try.

I would like to use the CCI with a 20 day simple moving average as an indicator. I'm sure others are doing it. Is there a code already worked out for this? or must I program it myself. If I have to, I know how to do the formulas, but would like to be able to put in a zero line and a horizontal line at +100 and -100. I would also like to display the current index number. Thank you for your help.

After turning off all but the 0 and 23.6 lines, I find that I have to start at the top and then work down. Instead of starting at the bottom and going up. Like in the directions.
I was doing it backwards. But I thought I saw it that way in the video.
Anyway, I think I have the hang of it now. Thanks.

Yes. Mine are calculated according to the formula given in the video.
I just don't have a retracement line appearing at 23.6.
Apparently yours works fine, just as it did in the video.
I must be doing something wrong. I just don't know what it is. I'm going to try using the edit window to turn off the 23.6 line and then back on. See what that does. Any suggestions?
