I did my studies both in weekly and daily time frame. I use period ranging from 1 month to 6 months and subsequently measure the return of those stocks. For instance locate top a portion performing stocks for 3 months RS scan and meansure the return of them in next 3 months. The results are not consistent with more than half falling below the index return. Anyone has success in using RS tool? Pls provide some insight. Tks.

Hi, tks for replying. However I am refering to the number that reflect on the sort column after doing a "versus industry index". How to interpret the figure? Does a -5% meaning its perfoming below the index by 5%?
Does "versus industry index" compare each stocks to every stocks in the industry or does it compare individual to the index only? And subsequently rank them. Pls provide the methodlogy and calculation if possible. Tks.

Does Relative strength with industry index works? I used to have confidence in RS method in finding the best stock in a industry till I started calculating statistics regarding the performing of RS stocks. I locate a basket of top perfoming RS stocks after comparing with the industry index across different industry and thereafter compare the return of this basket of stocks with the rest of stock in the same industry. What was found was that the return of stocks in this basket was not consistent. Some did average and others did poorly. Some even perfom below the S&P index and industry index. Does anyone knows how to improve the RS method in locating stocks so the perfoming are more consistent?

Hi, TC2005 offers a relative strength test such as comparison with industry index and report a figure in the sort column. What does the figure means and what is the formula behind the RS comparison?

I have some questions regarding TC2000 industry classifications and indexes.
1) Worden uses the CORE DATA for industry classification. Does the core refering to the core business of the company? Are there any sources where details more information about this type of classification as opposed to other types of classification like MSCI, GICS, etc.
2) Does TC2000 compute the industry indexes based for the companies classified or uses the industry indexes available on AMEX, NASDAQ & NYSE?
3) If TC2000 does compute, how does TC2000 calculate the industry indexes? For instance, classify all stocks under the bank sector into one folder and aggregate and average all stocks' closing price. Are there any weights, for eg using market capitalization, involve in the computation?

I have some questions and hope worden is able ans:
1) Does worden provides industry / sectors categorized stock data that are downloaded into users computer? Which industry definition is worden using? eg: MSCI etc
2) Does worden have markets indicators such as short interest ratio, advanced decline issues/volume, put call ratio, odd lot ratio for market as well as for individual stock? Can these indicator data be downloaded?
3) Does worden provides industries/sector indexes and can these index data be downloaded?
4) Does worden provide scanning of stocks based on the following : a) Industry (For instance look for stock only in the bank sector), b) Fundamental (eg: scan for stock that has earning growth more than 20 % consecutively for the pass three years) within the a industry
