Topic: Bill Williams AO / MACD
Posted: Monday, May 28, 2007 1:24:29 PM
Hello,

I have worked a lot with Bruce and some with Craig on Bill Williams indicators... All BW Indicators are working exactly as how BW's book describe the indicators...

However, My Question to you two...

The AO is a little different then the MACD(5,24,5)... Are there different Parameters for the MACD to make the indicator work exactly the same as the BW AO... I just have notices that in my Worden account I have the MACD set for (5,34,5) and Blocks Player set for the AO... They just do not match up exactly... Can the MACD be set the same as the AO with the correct Parameters...?

Thanks,
Keith

I am also reviewing the links you suggest to view...

Thanks,
Keith

Hello,

After my Easy Scans have completed I sort the files in different ways using the indicators I have on my TC2007 Charts...
I sort by "Value" using the following Indicators, in this Order:
ADX Prd:10;Avg:30 and select all stocks that have a value Greater then or Equal to 29
ATR and Select all stocks that have a value Greater then or Equal to 0.75
RSI Prd:14;Avg:3 and select all stocks that have a value Less then or Equal to 53
BBands: 21,20 and select all stocks that have a value Less then Equal Zero

and I also sometimes sort by:
MACD 8,3,3
MACD 5,34,5
Stochastic 8,3,3

I perform these steps manually... My Question: Is there a way to create a PCF for each of these steps and add them to my Easy Scans... This takes some time to do to in order to get down to my last indicator step... If it is possible... Can you help by providing me the PCF's or point me in the right direction...?

Thank you in advance,
Keith Nicholson
Topic: Price Bar Count

Hi Craig and Bruce,

Something has changed again... Seems like the Price Bar Count is now working perfectly again... I do not know why the bar was allowed to go in between the Price bars yesterday... Now all is working just fine...

Sorry for the goose chase...

Hello Craig and Bruce...

Both of you had helped me develop a Price Bar Count... The Information above was working perfect... Now, the Count still works except when I go to any other display of price bars, instead of a Day, like 2, 3, 4, 5...etc days... The odd price bar days now sticks in the middle of the Days... So, then the count of bars just goes nuts... The bar has to be exactly on the day of the price bar. If placed inbetween the exact day the number is usually a huge negative number... This only started this week... Did something change...?

Thanks,
Keith

thanks Bruce...

If I now understand your message... The Bearish and Bullish PCF that you had helped me with is correct... Sorry for leaving out the C < or C >...

I will enter your new information that you have given me...

Thanks,
Keith

Hi Bruce,

I guess I am now a little confused...

I thank you for the new PCF's... That is what I was looking for and Yes, "Closing" means getting closer together...

How do I find the email 17735...?

What I was trying to do was to have the scan keep the 3 lines greater then each other of less then each other based on Bearish or bullish... What did I do wrong in my scan... Here is the Original PCD I enter in TC2007...

Bullish:
H < H1 AND H1 < H2 AND L < L1 AND L1 < L2 AND O < C AND C > ((H + L) / 2) AND MINV50 > 10000 AND C < (XAVGH9.3 + XAVGL9.3) / 2 AND XAVGH9.3 + XAVGL9.3 < XAVGH15.5 + XAVGL15.5 AND XAVGH15.5 + XAVGL15.5 < XAVGH25.8 + XAVGL25.8 AND C >= 20 AND C <= 150

Bearish:
H > H1 AND H1 > H2 AND L > L1 AND L1 > L2 AND O > C AND C < ((H + L) / 2) AND MINV50 > 10000 AND C > (XAVGH9.3 + XAVGL9.3) / 2 AND XAVGH9.3 + XAVGL9.3 > XAVGH15.5 + XAVGL15.5 AND XAVGH15.5 + XAVGL15.5 > XAVGH25.8 + XAVGL25.8 AND C >= 20 AND C <= 150

What do I need to change...

Sorry to be not clear...

Thanks,

Keith

Hello,

Bruce gave me the following formula for me to use in finding out when Bill Williams Alligator lines(5,8,13) were Greater then the Previous line...

(XAVGH9.3 + XAVGL9.3) / 2 AND XAVGH9.3 + XAVGL9.3 > XAVGH15.5 + XAVGL15.5 AND XAVGH15.5 + XAVGL15.5 > XAVGH25.8 + XAVGL25.8

Can you put this in english so I can understand why you used the Expnential Average of the H and L and why the numbers used... This all works correctly... I just would like to understand...

I am trying to create another PCF to find out when the Green line crosses over the Red or blue lines... I am trying to find stocks where the Alligator's mouth is Closing...

Bruce, if you have any suggestions to determine the closing of the mouth... I would really like to understand how to do this...

Thank again for helping,
Keith Nicholson

Hi Bruce,

Sorry to be late on my reply... Busy with "Stuff", I am sure you understand...

However,
Thank you for looking in to my question...

If I come up with some kind of result, I will let you know what my findings are...

Hello,

Is there a way to consolidate multiple EasyScan’s output…?

I have Four different Bullish scans using four different PCF’s that create a set of selected stocks and I have Four different Bearish EasyScans using four different PCF’s that create an additional set of stocks.

I know I can manually put all Bullish/Bearish stocks into there own unique watchlist by flagging the stocks and then copying them to the watchlist… Is there a way to automate this process…?

So,
If I run several EasyScans… can I take the selected stock and automate the process of capturing all selected stocks in one watchlist…?

Thanks,
Keith
