Thanks Bruce... so far looks like my pcf's are working out well. Now we'll see if they will work for "real".
|
Please also provide a formula for:
Bar where the highest low of the last 5 bars > SMA 20 (of the highest low five bar); OR the highest low of the last 5 bars > SMA 40 (as of the highest low five bar). I think I must have left something out on the original "quote".
Thanks again for your help.

I would very much appreciate help to create the following formulas to use in a pcf:
1. Bar where the close > open, and high < than the highest high of the last 5 bars, and the close > 70% of its range.
2. Bar where close < open, and where it's low > the lowest low of the last 5 bars, and the close is below the lower 70% of its range.
3. Bar where the close > open, and the lowest high of the last 5 bars < SMA20.
4. Bar where the close < open, and the highest low of the last 5 bars > 40SMA
Thanks very much for your assistance....... Bill

I have been unsuccessful to identify Bullish Engulfing candles using your formula :
" Engulfing
ABS(C1-O1)>(H1-L1)*0.50 AND
C1<O1 AND
C>O1 AND
O<C1 )
I'm pretty sure I've made an error somewhere, that's been sometimes the case...
Thanks for your help to get me on track!

Great! All work just fine, thanks for your help!

Question: Are pcf's available to determine when price is crossing or above/below a Bollinger Band? Specifically, I would like to have the following:
When price crosses a simple 10,10 upper and lower BB, or is higher than the upper simple 10,10 BB, or lower than the lower simple 10,10 BB.
I'm currently finding these conditions useful in Blocks scans, but I would like to be able to identify these conditions in TC also.
I would appreciate any help on this.

Looks great! Thanks again for your quick help.

The formulas you gave me for exp stoc 30,1,5 (below and previous note above on 4/10) worked nicely for me. Now I've run into some difficulty with doing the same for the simple stoc 12,6,8. I'm not sure what's in error, and I would request some help on creating those formulas. Incidently, my crossover formulas for the stoc 12,6,8 seem to work ok.
Exponential Stochastic 30,1,5 SK > SD:
STOC30 > XAVG(STOC30,5)
Exponential Stochastic 30,1,5 SK < SD:
STOC30 < XAVG(STOC30,5)
Thanks for your continued help... I'm getting there slowly, but I hope, surely!

Everything I needed! Thank you, as usual, for the quick and accurate response.

Specifically, I would like to have pcf formulas for whenever exp Stoc SK is more than SD, and for when SK is less than SD for Stoc 30.1,5 and for Stoc 10.10,10. I think those would be useful to me to help determine when a price pattern enters (or remains) in a short or longer term up- or downtrend.
I'd appreciate any help you can give me on this one.
