Hi Bruce,
Is there a way to use input from two symbols. Like plot symbol1 / symbol2 ?
Thanks in advance

Thats it! Thanks a lot!

Hi I would like to calculate, the standard deviation of the thru range of the last 30 days.
STDDEV(H-L,30) doesn't seem to give the right number, any suggestions?
Thx in advance

Hello Bruce,
I am having exactly the same issue. I'm trying to scan for a crossing of the moving linear regression 10 and 30. But nothing is found. Visual inspection shows plenty of charts meeting the criteria. I''m using the settings as shown in the attached screenshot. Could you please have a look?
PS: I tried it with verion 16 and 17, both the same issue

Thx Bruce, the RoC on the RS works fine, but not when put into in a watchlist. Is there a fix ?
|
Thank you Bruce
Indeed the number are not the same.
I would help me to understand the differences if you could show my the formula used voor the Relative Strengt indicator.
Would this by possible? Thanks in advance

Dear Sir,
I would like to use something like this:
nRoC = ( close(0) - close(len) ) / close(len)
nRoCSPY = ( close(0,SPY) - close(len,SPY) / close(len,SPY)
RS = nRoC - nRoCSPY *100
Would this be possible, using the above mentioned apprioach ?

That's it! Thanks a lot

Thx Bruce for your quick reply
I checked the settings, but both are using the 'Price History' as source.
I use the data window in de top left of the chart to compare the numeric values. And they are not the same.
The strange thing is, the value's are the same when both added to a watchlist column

Dear Sir,
As I understood, the formula for a 10 bar moving linear regression line is:
AVGC10 + 4.5 * (4.5 * C + 3.5 * C1 + 2.5 * C2 + 1.5 * C3 + 0.5 * C4 - 0.5 * C5 - 1.5 * C6 - 2.5 * C7 - 3.5 * C8 - 4.5 * C9) / 82.5
However when plot on a chart, this formula results in a different output as the build in 'Moving Linear Regression' Indicator.
Could you please explain why this is? thx in advance
