I worked on this, setting up conditions for scanning, and columns in a layout. I got pretty close to what I wanted; but I couldn't figure how to get the dual criteria for Stochastics the way I wanted to.

I set up a condition for when Stochastics %K 15-5 crosses %D5 up or down; but I couldn't come up with a way to set the parameters that %K still was above 80, or below 20.

I have set up a series of Easyscans, which work quite well to identify stocks/etfs which meet my criteria. They are all set to run on a daily timeframe. But I find it tedious to manually sort through the symbols in each scan, in order to select the ones for which I would buy calls, and the ones for which I would buy puts.

I wish that I could use one of my layouts as a spreadsheet; and on that spreadsheet, I wish to have a column for each of my easyscans, in which a checkmark or true/false mark would indicate whether a stock/etf in my watchlist showed up in that easyscan. I could then sort the watchlist for each column, and with a glance see in how many and in which scans individual stocks and etfs show up.

I think that I may get part of the way there, if the separate conditions used in each scan were set up as columns within a watchlist.

This is the list of easyscans which I most often use:

Close above R2

Close below S2

Close above 2 std.dev. envelope channel for 100 Regression Line

Close below 2 std.dev. envelope channel for 100 Regression Line

Cross Top Bollinger Band Down

Cross Bottom Bollinger Band Up

MACD Crossing Its Signal Line Down

MACD Crossing Its Signal Line Up

Moving Avg.10 Crossing Moving Avg.20 Down

Moving Avg. 10 Crossing Moving Avg.20 Up

Stochastics %K>80 And Crossing %D Down

Stochastics %K<20 And Crossing %D Up

Can you do all this work for me? Or could you lay out the steps That I should take in order to set up a sortable watchlist with these conditions?

Thank you

It has been so long since I last felt the need to write my own PCF for an easyscan that I have forgotten the syntax needed to write one.

I want to be able to scan for stocks within a specified watchlist, looking for those whose prices have crossed above (and, of course separately, below) its 10-bar moving average, AND whose 10-bar moving average is also above (below) its 20-bar moving average.

I then want to be able to set up an alert trigger for a few stocks within TC2000, on both intraday and daily time frames, using this scan.

I would appreciate it if you could write this for me. But also, I would like you to include a link to a prior post which would explain the syntax I need to use in order to make such simple scan formulas myself.

Thank you.

Thank you! That is so much easier than trying to convert.

Thank you for the link.

I have transferred over to TC2000v.12 several of the formulas. After doing so, it struck me that these formulas would be especially helpful, if calculated for hours as opposed to days. I figure that someone could then set up intraday alerts for when certain conditions are realized during the course of the trading day, making for more efficient entry/exit points for swing trading.

Do you have any suggestions on how to convert these formulas from end-of-day to end-of-hour?

Thank you.

During a not-so-recent webinar, Julia Ormond demonstrated how to scan and sort for certain candlestick patterns. (Doji, Hammer/Hangman, Morning/Evening Star, etc.). I would like to establish pre-built scans/filters for each of these patterns.

I have scoured TC2000 v.12 and I can't figure out where to find them or how to create them myself. Can you help me, either by directing me to where I can find them or providing me with instructions to create them myself? Thank you.

I have tried to figure out how to scan/sort and add columns in TC2000, based upon two candlestick reversal patterns: a doji+hammer and a doji+hangman. I remember that there were candlestick indicators in Stockfinder. But, when I decided to upgrade from Gold to Platinum about one month ago, I lost access to stockfinder and all those candlestick indicators. I wonder: is there a way to sort and scan, then to add a column, for those conditions mentioned above in TC2000?

I have set up a chart with Heikin Ashi. For the life of me, I can't see any difference.
